Training Materials

Are you interested in training researchers to engage in policy at your university, scientific society, or with a student science policy group? We have developed a set of materials to conduct 5 hours of training, delivered across a series of three sessions. The first two sessions are 2 hours each, followed by a 1-hour discussion with invited policymakers of your choosing.

This training explores how researchers can successfully bridge the gap between research evidence and policymaking. Across three sessions, participants learn how evidence is used in policy decisions, how to decide whom to engage, how to clearly communicate complex science and uncertainty, and how to strategically deliver the evidence decision-makers need. The training emphasizes interactive learning through real-world case studies and practical exercises, enabling participants to apply these skills directly.
